Donor Eligibility & Screening (India ART Act & Rules)
To ensure the highest standards of safety and care, Dume ART Bank adheres strictly to the statutory criteria and operating limits for donors as mandated by the India ART Act & Rules.
Sperm Donor Criteria
Male, 21–55 years (ART Act/PRS brief).
Oocyte Donor Criteria
Female, 23–35 years; must be a married woman with at least one child (minimum 3 years old).
Oocyte Donation Limits
A woman can donate oocytes only once in her lifetime, and not more than 7 oocytes may be retrieved.
Sperm Donation Limits
A bank shall not supply the sperm of a single donor to more than one commissioning couple.
Mandatory Screening
Infectious disease screening: HIV 1&2, HBV, HCV, Syphilis (VDRL).
Informed Consent
Written informed consent from commissioning couple/woman and donor is mandatory.
Anonymity & Confidentiality
Strict anonymity and confidentiality; no identifying information disclosed to recipients (subject to law).

Create Your Account
Register your clinic on our secure platform. The process is quick, easy, and requires basic information about your facility and necessary accreditations.

Request Allocation
Once registered, you can request donor sperm allocation based on your patient's requirements and preferences, specifying desired characteristics and number of units.

Receive Compliance Pack
We provide a comprehensive compliance pack for each allocation, including donor screening results, consent forms, and all necessary documentation as per ART Act guidelines.

Delivery
The requested donor sperm units are shipped in specialized cryogenic containers to ensure viability and safety. We coordinate with your clinic for a smooth and timely delivery.

Reporting
Clinics are required to report treatment outcomes to us, which helps in maintaining accurate records for the National Registry and ensures a closed-loop, responsible process.
How It Works – Egg Donors (Registration)
A supportive and respectful journey for our donors, ensuring full compliance and care at every step.
Eligibility Check
Initial online application to confirm you meet the age (23-35), marital status (ever-married with one child > 3 years old), and other basic criteria mandated by the ART Act.
Comprehensive Health Screening
Once eligibility is confirmed, you will undergo a thorough health and psychological screening at one of our partner clinics, at no cost to you. This includes medical history review, physical examination, and tests for infectious and genetic diseases.
Consent and Counseling
Our team will provide detailed counseling to ensure you fully understand the donation process, its implications, and your rights. Written informed consent is obtained as required by law.
Insurance and Support
As mandated, an insurance policy is taken in your name to cover any potential complications arising from the oocyte retrieval process, ensuring your health and well-being are protected.
One-Time Donation
In line with the ART Act, you can donate oocytes only once in your lifetime. Upon successful registration and donation, your Aadhaar number is recorded to ensure compliance with this rule.
